First Post! 07/01/2008

We are very excited in starting our new website and blog! We love to share our testimonies of all we believe to anyone desiring to learn about our faith and church--The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as Mormons or Latter-day Saints (LDS). It is astonishing how much misinformation exists about us and how it is perpetuated by the media and those who know little or nothing about us.

One of our goals is to help inform others desiring to learn gospel truths and about the Plan of Salvation. The purpose of life is to search out truth, come unto Christ and keep His commandments. We know this blog may not be of interest to everyone, however, we believe there are many that are sincerely searching truth. We do not engage in contentious exchanges or bashing anyone else’s beliefs. We share openly and believe that spiritual learning is accomplished by sincere desire and through prayerful contemplation.

We believe the Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon to be the word of God. We know the answers to where we came from, why we are here on earth, and where we are going after this life. We worship our Savior Jesus Christ and strive to live our daily lives by His gospel teachings.

We are christians who enjoy life. We love to entertain and socialize with friends and family. We enjoy good music, dancing, singing and living a full life. We cherish our testimony of Jesus Christ and grateful to share it with you. It is our prayer to help you sprout a seed or desire to learn more about gospel truths that continually bring us great joy in our everyday life and have helped us endure through trying times and personal challenges.

Your friends,

John and Sue Saunders

John and Sue,
Congratulations on such a
beautiful web/blog site
You express yourself so well
Since we are Catholic we share
a lot of similar beliefs. We just
returned from the Holy Land and it
was a blessing. We love you,
Peace in Christ, Ricardo and Bea

Mark: Thank you for suggesting our LDS Newsroom website. You must have been reading our mind because we wanted to add it to our site. So now it can also be found on our “Truth” page! We agree and encourage everyone to read it also.

Katrina & Family: Wow, great to hear from you. We visited your blog and enjoyed it thoroughly. Your baby girl is adorable! We’ll give you a call when we come your way and please let us know when you come through Lubbock!

Ed: Thank you so much for your vote of confidence! We had a great time getting our blog up and going. Oh, and by the way, we are keeping the watermelon cold!

Ernest & Ola: You both are so dear to our hearts and we definitely need to come visit! We miss you very much and the good times we spent together. We’ll be sure to call you first.

Ricardo & Bea: We love you very much also and all the charitable work you both do in
helping so many in need. God bless you in all your travels! Ricardo, did you recognize one of our favorite pictures that you took of us—we posted it on our “Life” page. Gracias!

Judy: So fantastic to hear from you and we wish Kerry the best! We miss you a bunch and please give our love to everyone at church in Cape Coral.

Thank you for your comments and visiting our site. It was exciting to hear from you all. We are expecting some wonderful exchanges on our blog and encourage you all to continue to participate. Hearing from you all was like opening a birthday present this morning!
